I spent my last few days soaking in the healing waters of Szechenyi Furdo. Budapest is a place that\u00a0has more thermal baths than any other city in the world. These warm soothing\u00a0 spring waters come from deep in the ground, and contain healing properties (minerals) such as zinc, magnesium,\u00a0calcium, and copper that you can soak in for hours at a time.<\/p>\n

For centuries, Hungarians have\u00a0soaked in these waters several times a week not only to relax, but\u00a0for its anti-aging and\u00a0health benefits,\u00a0and to\u00a0achieve a youthful glow from\u00a0the rich\u00a0content of minerals that plumps the skin.<\/p>\n

The longest I\u00a0hung around Szechenyi Furdo was 6\u00a0hours, taking breaks in between dips getting massage, and\u00a0visiting the indoor\u00a0baths. By the time I left, I kid you not, I swear that my nails\u00a0grew since I arrived, and that my little cut on my heel seemed to seal and vanish. Crazy but so true.\u00a0\u00a0The best part was my skin looked and felt\u00a0amazing. It had a radiant glow to it that was different\u00a0than a “steam room” kind of glow.\u00a0\u00a0My skin and hair were super soft like I’ve never felt before.\u00a0 The effects lasted for days. The thermal baths were just one more reason for me to love Budapest… one of the most extraordinary cities I’ve ever visited.<\/p>\n
